About Carlo Patetta Rotta

  • Biography

I am an Italian entrepreneur who lived for many years in London and now based again in my beautiful hometown, Turin. Even though I didn't have an art background, on March 2019 I decided I needed a change in my life and I wanted to develop my creative side.

I enrolled to the Accademia Pictor in Turin, where I took oil painting classes from ‘maestro’ Aldo Antonietti, who is a prominent oil painter. The subjects I prefer are mainly landscapes, nature, portraits and my prevailing style is figurative, even though I don’t disdain to experiment with more abstract styles and/or different mediums, such as wax and salt.

Over the time, I realized that I prefer to express my art on canvas of large size. I like the idea of filling a whole large wall with just one of my paintings.

    Event: Collettiva Arti Figurative

    Dates: 7 Sep 2020 - 9 Oct 2020

Venue: Società Promotrice delle Belle Arti, Turin - Italy

In this occasion, I exhibit the painting 'View on Comporta's countryside (Portugal)'. Comporta is an area by the sea at 120 km Sounth of Lisbon. This area is a well kept secret, since few people, mainly part of the Internation jet-set, have visited it. The area is in fact still unspoilt and wild. The beach is a 40km long sandy beach, while the countryside is characterized by a rich vegetation with eucaliptus and cork trees. An heaven for people who appreciate the slow-living philosophy.
