    A recent photo of me out sketching in a little French village, my sketchbooks are very precious to me, they have become a diary during my life as an artist. Beside me is a watercolour sketch, these are done for my own pleasure and probably will never evolve into 'proper' paintings!

    A couple of paintings on the go

    A couple of paintings on the go

    I usual work on a series of paintings at the same time from 2 to 6 and find I get more adventurous as I work my way through them, because if I take it a bit too far and the idea all goes terribly wrong I should still have some pieces that I'm pleased with. Usually the final ones are my favourites when I've thrown caution to the wind and something exciting happens.
