About Baiir

  • Biography

Hello! my name is David Wolstenholme, and I’m the artist behind Baiir. I'm 38 years old and I’m a full time digital artist and designer.

My story starts in the late 1980's when I bought my first Apple Mac. I spent countless hours learning how to use it to create images, even though it only had a nine inch black and white screen!

In 1995 I went to study fine art, design and sculpture at Blackburn School of Art and in 1997 I attended Liverpool School of Art, where I graduated with a degree in Graphic Art and Illustration.

My graduate work won a national design award (STA Travel Graduate Web Design Award) and took me on to work for ‘Mando’, one of the UK’s leading digital agencies. Whilst there, I delivered design, illustration and digital projects for clients, including, Reebok, Sony, Delta Airways, Toyota and many more.

Although I’m busy as a commercial artist, I’ve always maintained my own personal study. In 2016 (following some prompting from colleagues) I decided to share the results in the form of limited edition digital art prints, under the pseudonym 'Baiir'  (it's a bit easier to remember than Wolstenholme!).

I hope you enjoy my work, if you have any questions, or if you want to find out more about me, please get in touch!
