  • Biography

    Ashok Sinha was born in Kolkata, India, and has been living and working in New York City for over two decades. Sinha’s images have appeared in The New York Times, TIME, National Geographic, and in numerous other publications and advertising campaigns.
    While many of his images are intended for mass publication, Sinha’s artistic exploration has led him to record multiple series as a fine artist and his work has been exhibited by The Museum of The City of New York, International Center of Photography, Mixed Greens Gallery, Umbrella Arts Gallery in New York City, New Orleans Photo Alliance in Louisiana, and included in the permanent collection of The Center for Fine Art Photography in Colorado.

    Ashok is also the founder of Cartwheel Initiative, a nonprofit organization that uses photography and creative media to help internationally and internally displaced youth have a voice in their new communities and build bridges across ethnic and social divisions.
