About Arabella Packford
Biography
Hello, I'm Arabella! I am photographer that specialises in landscapes, and I particularly love ones that are void of people. I live in London but I was brought up in Oxfordshire right in the middle of the countryside where nobody was to be seen. I love the city now but I often have to take a break and escape from all the people! I travel far and wide looking for the next empty landscape to photograph. We are always surrounded by so many people, I think it is important to remember how it feels when you are surrounded instead by nature.
I graduated in photography from The University of The Creative Arts which is when I started my project 'A Space of Mind'. This is when I started obsessing over landscape photography. I usually photograph using my Medium Format Mamiya camera as the quality and the depth of the photograph excels digital in my opinion. I also find that I photograph in a much slower, thought-out way and I find this quite therapeutic.
