ABOUT THE ARTIST:
In describing her approach to making art, Ana Gachero would call it exploratory; she is inspired by cultural/social advents, mysticism, the study of the mind and spiritual energy surrounding her.
Using mixed media, Ana’s works have run the gamut from representational to design, to abstract.
Ana's current exploration is Abstract Expressionism and Fluid Media. By exploring approaches to using gouache, ink, and watercolor in a variety of ways as artistic media; she has managed to incorporate art, spirituality, and psychology to craft a process toward promoting healing of the psyche; she is presently using her own splash, trickle and water-run techniques as vehicles to full expression, and connection to the deeper self; recent projects for Ana, include the exploration of Pareidolia; the psychological phenomenon of seeing familiar objects in random shapes.
Ana's artwork is accessible mainly online.
Her work has also been displayed at The Artship Foundation: Oakland Artists Exhibition, Oakland, CA, - Who am I? Exhibition at the June Steingart Gallery, Oakland, CA - The Story of the Creative Exhibition: See Me Gallery New York, NY.
