  • Biography
    I need to put my mind blank, I need to go into a state of "unconsciousness" to try to reach the elemental forms of my brain. It is to stop perceiving and to arrive at the perceived thing to be able to form the form in its essence, in its primary moment. This forces us to think of what abstract is no longer abstract, in that those forms, those colors, the plans, acquire a consistency, since they are seated in a universe, in the universe in which we live.

    If my mood is euphoric, probably the understanding of my environment is bright, very bright. That luminosity is complex, and its transcription is almost impossible: they approach blindness, but it is not, to always get codified information. If my eyes are facing the sun, the questionnaires are in an unbalanced competition, although the intensity of the sun is not harmful to us. We are not prepared to understand life in a single impact. Sometimes we believe everything, and there is no such thing. Let's not talk about plastic, just about life, maybe about everyday life. If the image comes to us as the sum of all the images, maybe the chaos is total.

    How to understand this gradual, stepped concept of perception? If we take the word reference, it is possible to understand it. What does it mean? What concepts in our brain are searched for in order to make comparisons, associations, extractions, to give meaning to something?

    With what arguments can I make an idea understand? That question is obvious in the context of the human being. But what signs do I feel worth to be understood? When I paint, when I draw, those questions overwhelm me, those questions drive me crazy. If I am trying to reach the idea itself; If I am visualizing the concept of a point and not a point; If I am analyzing the concept of a line and not a line; If I argue tricky justifications in the area of two-dimensional to make understand three-dimensional environment; If I tell people that this element is heavy on a plane, knowing that the gravitational term does not exist on a sheet of paper, what should I keep in mind for that argument? I want someone to understand Or do you just want to understand it?

    Well, it is said. Thinking of distance, proximity, up, down, heavy, light, strong, weak, wide, thin ... generates brain relations intimately linked to the natural, to be able to take a step and be in another position with respect to the previous , The power of movement to hand and bring it closer to the eyes without the fingers growing in that path, knowing that they settled far away they looked smaller. It's natural, we live a diary, but we do not think diary. Without them, the laws of transcendence, the world is a static, quiet, perhaps abstract element to thought, probably misunderstood, or understood under other schemes.

    There are criteria that humans are not the burden to confuse. On occasion, Henry Matisse received some students in his studio in Paris, and when one of them observed drawing on the table, I comment euphorically: "What a beautiful apple!" To which Matisse replied slowly, "That is not an apple, it is the drawing of an apple!"     Painting is that quiet instant, which frees the spirit from its dynamic hidden forms, is silence, space, is man, expression and time. Here begins the difficulty of speaking of it objectively, without leaving aside the reason why the work of art exists: The subjective view of sensation.

    Alvaro Galindo's painting, based on the mixture of techniques, conveys the search for the unity of form with its materiality, a unity within the distinct; As with the contrasts of color, places us between two almost irreconcilable worlds. Each painting opens a space reserved for the question of the existence of that other world that goes beyond the canvas where the encounter, perhaps becomes possible.
