About Alejandro Capriles

I was born in Monterey, California, and grew up in different countries, although my formative years were spent mostly in Caracas, Venezuela. My unconventional childhood exposed me to a cultural diversity that would greatly influence my life and artistic career. It also gave rise to interest in art, architecture, orchids, classical music and Asian antiques among others, all of which have contributed to the variegated nature of my work.

I firmly believe in diversification as opposed to specialisation; in the never-ending quest for new interests to pursue, new projects to develop, new passions to embrace.
