  • Biography

Aida Taha, an artist based in Sydney, emerges as a multifaceted creator who is unconstrained by a singular style or medium, Aida finds delight in exploring diverse artistic avenues, with a particular mastery in watercolor.

Driven by a mission to encapsulate the everyday beauty surrounding us, whether it be the delicate petals of a flower, the vastness of a landscape, the raw emotion within a portrait, or the intricate details of objects in unexpected places, Aida perpetually seeks challenges to fuel her artistic journey.

Drawing inspiration from her architect father, Aida's artistic prowess manifested as early as six years old. While her academic pursuits led her to study architecture and work on various projects with international firms, her true passion for art never waned.

In 2009, she paused her architectural career to raise her twin boys. However, in 2016, she made a pivotal decision to wholeheartedly pursue her original passion for art professionally.

Aida's artistic journey has recently expanded into the realm of 3D design and animation, reigniting her childhood passion. Despite this new venture, she continues to paint traditional art, showcasing her love for various forms of artistic expression. Her enthusiasm knows no bounds, as she embraces all forms of art to channel her inner creative energy.

Aida's piece "Alia" earned recognition on the esteemed platform of 'The Block' TV show in 2019 on Australian television, providing invaluable exposure for her work.

Moreover, Aida's participation in the "Global Association of Watercolor Artists" International Online Watercolor Competition in 2018 yielded significant acclaim. Her painting, "Fruit and Cheese," stood out among 500 entries from prominent watercolor artists worldwide, securing a place among the top 50. Undoubtedly, she remains committed to exploring both local and international presence, aiming to cultivate a robust global following and carve her presence in the art world.
