About Agnes Cavina

I am an emerging artist whose abstract paintings have captured the attention of thousands of artists and art enthusiasts on Instagram. Many galleries from different countries have offered representation in New York, Rio de Janeiro, Paris and Laguna Beach, California. I am currently represented by Five3Gallery in Laguna Beach, California.  On Instagram under my artistic name, Agnes California (agnesabstractart), I have gained an audience of more than 14,000 followers in less than a year. I have recently started to use YouTube as another platform in order to introduce others to my work.

My styles are abstract expressionism and minimalism. My paintings are often described as “full of energy”. By using unique color combinations and heavy textures as my inspiration, my work is always recognized by both. Also, I find inspiration in everyday life, feelings, and experiences.

My beloved paternal grandfather was an artist. As a young child, I would sit with him for hours and hours watching him as he painted beautiful flowers. We would also regularly visit art exhibitions on Sunday afternoons.

I believe my childhood experience has played an important role in developing my love for art. I love to paint abstract not only for adults but for children, as well. I think that it’s very important to introduce abstract art to children at a young age because children do not have preset ideas as to what art should look like.

I love the freedom of abstract art. I have a passion for colors and heavy texture. Finishing a new piece always makes me very happy. I love to see people enjoying my work. First thing I think about when I wake up in the morning and the last thing before I fall asleep at night is my next painting. I feel honored that Artfinder has accepted me as an artist to be able to introduce my work to a wider audience all over the world.
