Synthetic representation of traditional dhows of the Indian Ocean, anchored on the northeast coast of Zanzibar. After a series of shots collected on site, the artist arranged the shapes and colors in his studio. He gave the final material its grainy appearance, by mixing the oil paint with sand collected on site, in Zanzibar.
