Dominantly white city, 4, modified, afterimage museum visit, oil on canvas, 70 x 90 cm, 2021. On our way was the “Accademia di Belle Arti di Venezia” and this
is where I went to, although my mood wasn’t really set for ancient masters. After looking at all those oversized portraits with red and black color dominating, I was
exhausted. On a square, we came to after just passing one bridge, I found a drinking fountain next to a bench for a short break. Long after this experience, I painted
the light flooded afterimage as an antithesis to this situation.
