Original artwork description:

ORIGINAL PETQ POPOVA ARTWORK!

2020, "Turnovgrad" - mixed media painting on wood

This original mixed media painting is one of the latest artworks of the skillful Bulgarian contemporary artist Petq Popova, deeply inspired by the Bulgarian 'Tsarevets' medieval stronghold, which served as the Second Bulgarian Empire's primary fortress and strongest bulwark from year 1185 to 1393, housing the royal and the patriarchal palaces. It was the capital city of the Bulgarian Kingdom at that times. The artwork is one extraordinary fine art masterpiece and exquisite modern home wall décor.
Petq Popova’s work encompasses many contemporary art styles with the act of minimal drawing being key to her exploration of form, collage expression and image composition. Mining a space between figuration and abstraction, she consistently returns to nature as a point of departure, exploring landscapes and scenery shapes as a metaphor for transformation.
