The inspiration for my tree fern and rhododendron landscape is a special place for me, the Mount Lofty Botanic Garden in the Adelaide Hills.
We have many beautiful national parks and gardens. However this one is unique.
The filtered light and wetter location suits plants from temperate climates which are difficult to grow on the Adelaide Plains, including rhododendrons, Australian tree ferns, and exotic cultivated plants from cool climates like Magnolia.
I missed the Magnolia in flower this year, but will be sure to catch them in 2023.
