“As young people, we usually try to leave the house as soon as possible and as far away as possible from our parents, our home. We roam the world, collecting new experiences, new stories, new adventures, new experiences. We meet new faces, make new friends, experience new love. It's all so exciting!
But as time passes, it often happens that, despite a new exciting and interesting life, we feel that we miss our old home. That's why we go back there. We're going home. Sometimes only in thoughts, memories, in my imagination. Other times, we really return home.
Maybe even cautiously, worried about what had changed there, whether those we had left would welcome us with open arms. We are dying of doubts whether this is the right place to be. Or is it just an illusion? Heart and reason are not always one.
Only through our own experience will we find out where our real home is ... ”


Despite the fact that Janos Kujbus belongs to the younger generation of Hungarian fine artists, we can rightly place his work among the top works of contemporary European art. His figurative paintings in the style of modern pop art amaze not only their size (often exceeding two meters), but also the peculiarities of their form and content. On the big canvases unfold before us the everyday stories of today's human, often searching for the fulfillment of his life in the chaotic world.
