The honey bees are a plenty on our drumstick tree (drumstick is a vegetable) when it is in full bloom. Once the drumsticks appear the bees disappear and many die. I always wondered how long and how hard these bees work all their short lives! And all for the Queen!!

I thought of paying tribute to these little fellows and made this painting on off-white Indian handmade paper.
