Original artwork description:

“Then the light changed”
Looking over,
The pond,
Back of Stourhead,
It’s winter beauty,
In subtle shades,
The greyish greens,
Burnt sienna ,
Mixed with gamboge,
I’m loving this place.

My feelings and words - understanding a place you must keep going back.
Stourhead is an elegant estate belongs to National Trust in Wiltshire not far from where I live.I visit this place often and last week mum and I yet again couldn’t resist.
We feasted our eyes on the scene before us and the light was nearly going over the pond at the back of Stourhead. The reeds glowed with there warmth in front of the water and the darkness of the woods behind against the sharp contrast of white light was outstanding. It didn’t last long as it was about to shower with rain ,better dash for it Mum !
This Original watercolour was created using the natural colours of what I see in Winter time.

Materials used:

Rough textured watercolour paper-Bockingford acid free,Chinese bamboo brushes, watercolour paints Holbein, water,
