Original artwork description:

Returning from working at the Global Art Festival at the Rann of Kutch in North Gujarat I visited the Kutch Museum in Bhuj on the way. I was particularly intrigued by some small bronze figures and, determined not to rely on my camera, made some quick sketches. This image emerged later during my lock-down drawing splurge in May 2020. The tree columns sprouting leaves either side of her are echoes of the columned Yakshini sculpture seen at the Modhera Sun Temple.
