Artwork description:
This is a Collagraph handmade print I did for an exhibition at Wentworth Woodhouse last summer, as part of a group of artists called The Collective Arts Group. It is printed on 370gsm cartridge paper . This is a from a limited edition of 3. A Collagraph print is one made from a plate with different textures. My printing plate is made from mounting board. The process is a combination of intaglio and relief. I Collaged my plate with different textures in this instance I used tile adhesive, and modelling paste. I also cut into the plate with a scalpel. I used PVA glue to stick on my textures. Pva is then sealed with shellac. The plate is then coloured with stay open inks. I will pack this print flat between layers of cardboard (see me at work pic) This print is sold unframed.
