My husband and I got a little lost, (yes even with gps) on vacation in England. As best as I can figure, we were somewhere in Stroud when we came across this lovely scene. I recommend allowing yourself time to get lost! This painting emphasizes the strong silhouette created by the shadow shape of the road and trees and its contrast to the beautiful countryside bathed in September light.
