Puppies sleeping, peaceful and still
Curled up close, on a bed or windowsill
With paws tucked under, and ears tucked tight
They dream of playtime, until morning light

Soft whimpers and sighs, fill the air
As they snuggle close, without a care
Their little bodies, rise and fall
As they dream of chasing a ball

In their dreams, they run wild and free
Through fields of grass, as far as they can see
With tails wagging, and tongues lolling out
They play and explore, without a doubt

But as the night goes on, they tire
And their breathing slows, as they desire
To rest and recharge, for tomorrow's play
And so they sleep, until the new day

Puppies sleeping, so innocent and pure
Their dreams a reflection of their hearts, for sure
A reminder that rest is just as important as play
And that in the end, we all need to sleep and stay.
