Sketchbooks are a vital part of my artistic practice. I use the studies contained in them as source material for all my paintings, and this artwork takes its inspiration from one of them.
I always like the soft fringe that tall spindly grasses lend to any view - this was the starting point here. The sketchbook is one of my Scottish visits books.

The painting is framed in a contemporary style wood frame that is painted a soft white.
It is ready to hang.
The painting will be wrapped in several layers of protective materials before being placed in a sturdy cardboard box ready for shipping.
I use both recycled and recyclable materials for wrapping.
