Pen painting Behind the king Alexander Arkadievich Litvinov

"Behind the King" is a captivating pen portrait that draws the viewer into a world of regal authority and enigmatic power. Created with meticulous precision, the artwork showcases a scene steeped in historical grandeur and the allure of the unknown. At the forefront of the composition, a majestic king astride his noble white steed commands attention. The king exudes an aura of unwavering confidence, his posture poised and commanding. His piercing gaze meets the viewer's eye with a sense of determination and conviction. Adorned in a vibrant crimson cloak that billows around him, the regal figure stands as a symbol of authority and dominance. As the viewer's gaze shifts beyond the king, the true essence of the painting unfolds. A dense forest envelops the background, its lush greenery and towering trees evoking a sense of ancient mystique and secrecy. From the depths of this sylvan expanse, a formidable army emerges, following in the king's wake. Warriors clad in armor march with disciplined unity, their faces hidden beneath helmets, hinting at the mystery and anticipation that lies within their ranks. The artist skillfully employs the delicate strokes of the pen to capture the intricate details of each element. The king's flowing locks and regal features are meticulously rendered, while the intricate folds of his cloak billow in the wind with a sense of dynamism. The trees in the forest, created with fine crosshatching and intricate linework, convey a sense of depth and perspective. The army, though depicted with minimal details, carries an air of both strength and restraint, emphasizing their formidable presence. The overall composition of "Behind the King" creates a sense of tension and intrigue. The juxtaposition of the confident king and the concealed army highlights the delicate balance of power and the unseen forces that lie just beyond our immediate perception. The painting invites viewers to contemplate the notion of leadership, the hidden motivations that shape our world, and the transformative nature of influence. "Behind the King" stands as a testament to the artist's technical prowess, capturing the essence of a powerful portrait while weaving a narrative that stimulates the imagination. It is a piece that invites viewers to delve into the rich tapestry of history, uncovering the secrets that lie behind the surface of power.

About the artists: Alexander Arkadievich Litvinov was born on May 18, 1967 in the city of Lubny. He graduated from the Lubensk secondary school № 1. One of his favorite lessons was drawing. I was even more attracted by studies at an art school, where boys and girls were introduced to high art thanks to the wise teachers Vasily Semenyuta, Anatoly Kharchuk, Nikolai Korablev, Tamara Moshnikoviy. Especially in his artistic development, Alexander owes to Vasily Ivanovich Semenyuta, his classical school of teaching, which he enriched in his time through his acquaintance with famous artists Alexei Asaulenko and Petr Likhin. And also an extremely important role in the passion for painting was played by the fact that Alexander's father, Arkady Petrovich Litvinov, was both a talented artist and an excellent teacher. He had 53 years of teaching experience - he taught drawing and drawing at the Lubensk school №8, many of his students connected their professions with artistic creativity. Alexander's elder brother, Oleg Arkadyevich Litvinov, a member of the National Union of Artists of Ukraine, now lives in Odessa, also chose the artistic path.

And after leaving school, Alexander served in the army, where his artistic talent came in handy - in Soviet times, visual agitation was highly valued. He served in Dnepropetrovsk, where two personal exhibitions of his paintings were organized. While still at school, Alexander began to design books, in particular, children's literature. He received his first creative fee in the tenth grade from the publishing house "Raduga" for the design of the book by Anatoly Rybakov "Krosh's Vacation". Later she studied at the Odessa Theater and Art School, specializing in "Decoration of puppet shows and artistic and props art."

Studying at the school and passion from childhood with historical and biblical literature greatly influenced the creative manner of the artist. He works in the style of the so-called figurative art, where the main thing is the image of the human body.
