Queen of flowers in China, peony was introduced to Europe after the Chinese emperor of the time had sent a collection of the flowers to Napoleon Bonaparte’s wife Joséphine.
Delicate creamy peonies on a light background. I tried to create a delicate and refined picture, inspired by the impression of the art of the East.

Original acrylic artwork.
Painted on a linen gallery stretched canvas. The sides are a natural gray color. The canvas is varnished, delivered with a certificate of authenticity signed by the artist.
Signed on the front and back. Ships in a tube.
