Some days are filled with peace, a calm amidst the storm of life. To keep our equilibrium we must hold onto these special moments, treasure them. They act as an anchor to keep us steady when storms rage. This image was one of those moments. A time when colour and light, the soft sound of waves rolling in and mist in the air make you feel there is no need for anything more, here and now is what matters. On a deserted beach on the Isle of Harris one can still find such treasures. Few people visit in the cooler months, only me and the sandpipers.

The Isle of Harris is a tiny island at the end of a two hours ferry journey from my island of Skye in northern Scotland.

This is the perfect size for a large living room or dining room. High ceilings and mezzanines look amazing with statement art.

NOTE Paintings of this size cost at least ten times as much as my Limited Edition prints of my photography artworks. Purchasing the canvas and having it framed up locally is the most cost effective way to decorate your home with very large art.
