Original artwork description:

This is a concept piece that was created to try to portray a concept of hidden fear that those that suffering from metal illness feel and how the calm of the outside can hide a dreadful turmoil.

Both inner and outer orbs are of coil construction and carved and sculptured. All clay used is a slightly gorged Spanish clay that when fired to stoneware is stained with the fumes from the copper red glaze, carvings have been enhanced with oxides.

As this piece has been fired to stoneware it can be place outdoors but would make a great talking piece in a hall or lounge.

Materials used:

Stoneware clay, glaze and oxides
