An impressionistic British moorland country landscape painting of the wild moors of Britain. In this scene I have tried to portray the atmosphere of a bright sunny day spent among the high wild moors, whether in the English Yorkshire Dales, Pennines, Dartmoor or other wilderness areas of the countryside, of Scotland, Wales or Ireland. With rolling hills, small streams and purple heather. Larks singing high in the sky and the sound of grouse and curlew. Warm sunshine and swift passing clouds.
Painted in a contemporary impressionist gestural style with a palette knife.

Painted using quality artists oils on a small square format 8" x 8" (20 x 20cm) canvas, with a gloss varnish finish and white wooden frame with cord ready to hang.
