Original artwork description:

This is a new series that came to me as a compilation of experiences I have had with my students over the years. When given a chance to experiment with clay, it arises with new form, elasticity, color, and detail. A sculpture comes into fruition with how we utilize clay and it is an amazing process where we learn how to create with our hands. Creativity is at its prime when working with this medium and I attempt to show its' magnitude through my paintings. It shows the transitions and alternating rhythms of clay-making and painting, which can be compared to life's uprisings and falls. Life is ever-changing and molded to the artist's aptitude. Although two different mediums, both is a pathway to expression, observation, and subject matter that induces the artist and viewers.

Materials used:

acrylic, gesso
