This pastel painting was inspired by something we love to do at the seaside, stand and stare out to sea, as the two girls are doing. It evokes those happy, carefree summer days at the seaside, and is a feel-good picture to have hanging on your wall.
I have put in movement of the waves, sunlight bouncing off the rocks using warm colours, and reflections of the two girls in a rock pool to add interest to the picture.
It is framed with a narrow gold frame and a wide white double mat.
