Original artwork description:

This linocut print series is my latest artistic homage to my musical memories. The cassette tape played quite a big role in my adolescence. They and my Walkman enabled me to walk around in my own world and how I loved it. Just to look at tapes is a momentary return to those days, they always bring a smile to my face, happy memories.

This series of linocuts are a little looser than those in my previous series. They are very much prints, overlapping, over printed, textured, sometimes slightly misaligned. They delight in the hand-drawn and handmade linocut style rather than try and replicate the clean print style of digital printing. The images are each made from a unique combination of several linocut blocks inked up and printed. Each is quite different from the others, the choice of blocks used, the positioning and the colours of the ink make each monoprint a unique creation.

My linocuts are handmade from start to finish, hand carved, rolled and handprinted, as in the nature of linoprints and the handmade process they may have small variations. This I feel is part of the charm of printmaking and makes each print into both a unique artwork.

Paper sized : 30 cm x 30 cm

This print is also available framed, I have some back wood effect frames 10" x 10" which I can frame the duo print in. If you would like this just let me know and I will list a framed option for you. Framed this print will cost £45.
