Original artwork description:

The last time I really thought really positively about where I live in a wider sense was probably during the Danny Boyle opening ceremony for the London Olympics 2012. Using this as a starting point - the hill and tree are in the picture and various other references - second star on the right - Mary Poppins - this picture explore some of the positive things about these Isles which I feel we need right now - how many can you spot?

A lively and hopeful depiction of some of the things that can fill us with pride when we think of where we live - particularly during this strange period of restrictions on social interaction. There are images of NHS workers, clapping hands and in the background a few images that will hopefully resonate - references to the beautiful natural world - to our history and pre-history - to the present day with our earth connected like never before with the world wide web and mobile phone technology. In short some stories of life.

painted on all sides so that framing is not necessary.

Materials used:

acrylic
