Using the Welsh otherworld of Annwn, the spirit of The Mabinogion and Pagan memories as the fictional framework for the imagery, Father is a formal family portrait that draws on tales of the Tylwyth Teg and the landscape of Snowdonia.

This piece was created digitally from the artist's collection of vintage and antique CDV and vernacular photographs. The finished piece is printed on heavyweight Hahnemuhle Matte Art Paper and enhanced with additional pencils and varnish. This piece was originally part of the 2019 Y Lle Celf exhibition at the National Eisteddfod of Wales.
