Portrait painting (neoexpressionist and contemporary art influences)
Philosophy: I am always in search of contemporary and visual forms of expressions of the human being and the soul, maintaining the unmistakable and exceptional beauty inside. Fractures and scars, traces of hardship, sadness, hopelessness, as well as wisdom and strength, are traces of life that make a person unique and distinctive.
This work belongs to 'Autopsy of the appearances' which is, in terms of the number of artworks, the most important cycle. The work began in 2012 and in each 'autopsy', I try to make aware the versatility and fragility of human existence. I ask the following questions:
1. How does the human being deal with existential issues?
2. Where does his constant search for the absolute lead him?
3. How does he face the shattering of his concepts by destruction, collapse and failure?
This offers an almost unlimited variety of presentation possibilities for which I always try to find the right title that should speak for itself.
