Original artwork description:

This is a mood portrait where the model is celebrating a new beginning or a change in her life. The young woman wanted to be painted in a man's shirt and she explained that life had changed for her and she was now by herself and feeling rejuvenated as she looked ahead to what might come. It is a mood portrait of a young woman deep in thought. Joyce was inspired by the crispness of the white shirt against the warmth of the model's complexion as well as her striking haircut.

The work has been painted with professional oil paints and varnished with Gamblin Gamar for protection. It is unframed and ready to hang with a wire attached. The painting is continued as it wraps around the sides of the stretcher (no frame is required)

The painting, signed on the front and back, will be sent with a certificate of authenticity
