This is the story: I found a nice photo of a girl with red hair on net. Because I like drawing faces, people in general, I surf a lot on net and search interesting faces and poses. So I have found this girl. I like her because of her cool expression and of course because of her red hair. She was my model and I made a picture with my own colors which enhance the attitude of the red hair girl. She has an earring, white blouse and the expression of her face reminds me a lot of the Girl with a Pearl Earring of the famous painter J. Vermeer. That is why I chose the title.
Picture is on gray paper for pastel 180 g per m, protected by Talens fixatief for pastel.
