"Just as in the field, when ripening ears of grain ripple and fold once to one side, once to the other side, life throws us from side to side. From one attitude to another. Sometimes even from one extreme to another extreme... Especially when we grow up and mature, looking for our place in the world, our way, our identity, our stability, our sexual orientation ...
The attitudes that were close to us yesterday have replaced completely different ones today - conflicting attitudes. Whoever was close to us yesterday is leaving us today. Or we from him. We meet, we converge, we love each other, so that we later move away from each other and forget about each other.
One new face is replaced by another new face, and then another and another ... At that moment we do not realize that every loss, every break with someone who was close to us, will leave us with a trace of sadness sometimes for too long ... We are young, indomitable and indiscriminate ... Until we have matured and found our own stability ..."


Despite the fact that Janos Kujbus belongs to the younger generation of Hungarian fine artists, we can rightly place his work among the top works of contemporary European art. His figurative paintings in the style of modern pop art amaze not only their size (often exceeding two meters), but also the peculiarities of their form and content. On the big canvases unfold before us the everyday stories of today's human, often searching for the fulfillment of his life in the chaotic world.
