Original artwork description:

"Father" by James Earley is a painting of Matthew a young homeless man living on the streets of Southampton in the UK. This is the second painting of Matthew by James Earley, the first titled "Matthew".

"I met Matthew in 2017 and then again in 2018. Matthew was suffering with mental illness and every second of every day he was fighting demons in his mind. He was a kind and caring man and enjoyed our conversations. His face lit with emotion when he talked of his past, he lived in an extreme world and it was this emotion that I wanted to capture in my painting. I see Matthew as a good friend and I hope as with so many of the homeless that he can calm his mind and see a way out of the trauma that he was experiencing" James Earley

I wanted to paint "Father" in a realism style using oil paints on canvas. I wanted to create a documentary of the consequences of poverty.
I primed the canvas in red paint and started building the layers of the oil painting initially using large brushes and gradually decreasing the size of the brushes until I used single hair brushes for the smallest of detail.

The painting is professionally packaged and shipped within 5 working days and tracked and insured during delivery

ORIGINAL ART- "Father" is an original oil painting signed on the front and professionally framed in a bespoke frame.
The best quality oil paints (Michael Harding hand crafted oil paints) and the finest canvas are used. The painting will come with a signed certificate of authenticity
