Double self portrait. The glitch that “interrupts” the painting is inspired by a fact that occurs occasionally using Instagram. When you upload a content on Instagram the app makes a backup copy on your phone, but sometimes something goes wrong, and the backup copies of the images can be corrupted by horizontal lines, like the ones you see in this work.
I casually discovered those corrupted images on my phone and I loved the effect, so I decided to reproduce title on my painting. Being a double self portrait, this gives a touch of mistery and uncertainty to the whole composition.
Acrylic on canvas, ready to hang.
Canvas, charcoal, acrylic
