Artwork description:

This is an image of a man sketched in Larnaka, Cyprus. Adam had seen some paintings in the Troodos mountains which had been buried and through the years they had eroded in the soil. This gave Adam an idea of creating some pieces based on this style of production.

The image was first a watercolour of a landscape which had been eroded over a period of time, re-working and washing the image then buryingin the ground. After a couple of weeks the image was dug back up and washed. When dried he then printed a woodcut of a man he had sketched on a trip to Larnaka.

Materials used:

Woodcut, Printing Ink, Watercolour, Watercolour Paper
