Watercolour, watercolour pencil and gold gouache on beautiful teal textured Khadi paper..

I wanted to maintain the beautiful teal shade of the paper which forms the basic colour of the image with an added palette of white, gold and brown/black with some cerise highlights.

I use Winsor & Newton professional watercolours and Caran d'Ache pencil. When the temperature allows, I prefer to work in the open air -this was painted in my garden in the bright sunlight.
