Connection happens at five levels in this world. It can refer to physical, emotional, intellectual, spiritual or social connections. That’s why it’s a very rare sight to see a couple who happen to be soul mates because they connect with each other at all levels. Mostly the relationships end up being bittersweet because of the incomplete connection.

I like to depict figures as a part of elements like space, air, water, fire and earth. They draw their existence from all the elements somewhere merging and coming out of them. In Indian context social connection plays an important role, some people stay nicely fitting into the frame and some don't. So a seemingly beautiful relationship is challenged at multiple levels.
