Original artwork description:

This is a portrait of the late Chuck Berry. He was known as the father of rock and roll. Like so many R&R performers, Chuck led a checkered life. He was convicted of armed robbery when he was still in high school and served time in prison three times in his life.
Chuck was one of the first inductees into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. He earned way too many awards to mention here but you can read about him, in depth, at Wikipedia.

Chuck is a one of a kind, original work of art. This is a "large" sized painting. I have a "medium" size posted on Artfinder also. It is produced using India ink and acrylic paint on 5 mil archival grade mylar. For this work, I acquired several copies of Berry's sheet music and album covers, had them printed and laminated to the mylar. The portrait was them painted using mostly india ink with a little acrylic paint.
The mylar does not have to be stretched like canvas or watercolor paper. It is easy to mount on any type of board: plywood, masonite, foamboard, etc. I include simple mounting instructions with each piece that I sell. You can see these instructions at the “me at work” section of my shop. I include a hanging strip and a drywall hanging device. Everything that you need to mount your painting except the board.

The painting is signed on the front and comes with a signed certificate of authenticity.
