Triest, Castello San Giusto, oil on canvas, 60 x 80 cm, 2016. We stayed at one of the hills of the city in line with the Castle of San Giusto and its eponymous church. During early afternoon we took a stroll along the hills crest which was quite flat until the steep ascent up to San Giusto. Standing at the place, I realized that I´ve already been here before a long time ago. But that´s how my memory works, as soon as I loose contact to my travelling companion I loose memory of the place. The footpath down the hill leads directly to the Corso d’Italia where we later take bus number 10 to go back. All the cafés around served food outside. Looking at the other people I realized that I was the only person with short sleeves and suddenly I felt cold.
