Original artwork description:

“By the Light of the Moon” was painted on site during the daytime in the village of Lellingen in the Eifel region in the North of Luxembourg. It was, in fact, a painting demonstration done in front of an audience during the annual Lellingen art festival. However, since I had stayed there overnight at my favourite Luxembourgish B&B and been impressed by the stillness of this remote village at night, I decided to make my scene a nighttime one and depict it as I had experienced it without all the visitors and artists at the festival.
I often make painting trips to the Eifel region which straddles Germany, Belgium and Luxembourg and so “By the Light of the Moon” is one of a series of Eifel paintings.

It is sold mounted and accompanied by a certificate of authenticity signed by the artist.
