The refugee crisis in Southern America and many other countries of the world today are caused by US imperialism. We have seen over the years how US policies of destabilising governments with the intention of putting in place a puppet government in partnership with the US and also imposing damaging sanctions that rip out the heart of the country has caused mass migration. This painting of the refugee boy who is bewildered and shocked by what has happened to him is labelled with a US dollar. The dollar emerges from the shadow and we see the real reason why such tragedy occurs.
