Original artwork description:

Battersea Bridge is a five-span arch bridge with cast-iron girders and granite piers crossing the River Thames in London, England. It is situated on a sharp bend in the river, and links Battersea south of the river with Chelsea to the north. Jill Barthorpe, who attended the prestigious Slade School of Art, is an extremely well established British artist, dividing her time between London and her studio in Leicestershire. She takes considerable time preparing her canvases herself using rabbit skin glue, which acts as an adhesive. This is a practice that has been used since the famous Renaissance painters. Purchasers of Jill's work are assured of an extremely high quality finished product that she has laboured over. Her work really does lift a room. Jill's paintings are always framed to a very high standard.
