Plants are one of the most important themes in my work.
I also remember how that 'interest was born, a friend had portrayed the plant she had at home, for her perhaps the only example, for me the beginning of a long story.
I looked for subjects in various botanical gardens in various cities, I paint them through a slow construction , often monochrome, perfectly in the center of the canvas, looking for each one its character, some noisy and full of strength, others, distant, still and silent.
But it is not botany that interests me, but painting, and the plants of painting are the image.
