Giant agaves with beautiful striped leaves are to be seen everywhere here on the coast: on the beach in thickets of tall grass, along the stone steps leading to the sea, and near houses as ornamental plants. They are impressive in their size, some of them reach 3 metres in diameter! I am a little affraid of them, they look like giant octopuses that crawled out of the sea, lurking in search of prey.
