I find this appropriate in these times. The apocalypse is not just about destruction but renewal of the spirit into the world. This was an opportunity to paint something profoundly meaningful while at the same time painting horses. I really love painting horses in movement, and I hope this comes through in the painting. After all, Philip means Lover of Horses!
