Octopus Energy Art: Shortlist announced

We're delighted to announce the shortlisted artists in our climate change art prize with Octopus Energy. The Octopus Energy Art shortlist can be viewed here.

We have been overwhelmed by the number and quality of entries and we'd like to say a huge thank you once again to everyone who put work forwards. The shortlist contains 150 pieces chosen from almost 500 entries.

Artfinder CEO Michal comments:

'From bleak, post-apocalyptic worlds to rallying words and a hope for a positive future, the range and quality of the entries - and also just the sheer quantity of artists who have engaged with this all-important topic has really blown us away. We had a very hard job choosing a shortlist and an even harder task lies ahead for our judging panel who will be in selecting finalists in the coming months.'

More than 2,500 locations across the UK, from London Waterloo Station to the M4 will display artworks submitted by the public to inspire action on climate change.

Artworks from the shortlist will be displayed at iconic locations around the UK from 25th November – 23rd February 2019, in the UK's largest-ever out of home exhibition. Each unique piece responded to the brief of ‘what climate change means to you’, addressing our current crisis.

The shorlisted works can be purchased in our Octopus Energy Art collection and all commission from sales will be donated to renewable energy charity, Renewable World.
